Recreational Therapy 1:1
Equine-Assisted Learning Program

Our 1:1 Recreational Therapy program combines the power of Equine-Assisted Learning (EAL) with evidence-informed recreation therapy to support individuals of all abilities in reaching their personal goals. Set on our beautiful 87-acre farm in Ridgeway, Ontario, this program offers a uniquely hands-on, nature-based approach to therapeutic care — one that meets each participant where they are and builds on their individual strengths.

How it works

Every program begins with a comprehensive assessment to identify the participant's strengths, needs, and therapeutic goals. From there, a personalized plan is developed with measurable outcomes, addressed through structured interactions with horses and engaging nature-based activities. Sessions are designed to be experiential, meaningful, and client-centered — creating real growth in a real-world setting.

Who is it for?

This program supports individuals working on emotional regulation, communication, social functioning, confidence, and adaptive life skills. It is suitable for children, youth, and adults, and welcomes participants with a wide range of abilities, diagnoses, and needs. Referrals are welcome from healthcare professionals, schools, and community organizations, as well as directly from families and caregivers.

What participants gain

Through consistent, purposeful engagement with horses and the farm environment, participants develop greater emotional awareness, improved communication, increased confidence, and stronger everyday life skills — all in a safe, inclusive, and deeply supportive setting.
