Beaver Creek Restoration and Enhancement Project

Executive Director Karen van der Zalm was recently featured in the Niagara Community Foundation 2022 Annual Report. Thanks to an Environmental Grant received from the foundation, ICAN-T.E.R. in partnership with Sustainable Fort Erie was able to initiate the Beaver Creek Restoration and Enhancement Project, a three-phase environmental protection endeavor. The mission of the Beaver Creek Restoration Project (shown left), adjacent to I CAN-T.E.R., is to encourage community awareness, engagement with nature, and educational purposes through workshops, camps, and activities.

Niagara Parasport Festival

ICAN-T.E.R. and Taking Strides were pleased to take part in the Niagara Parasport Festival May 31 and June 1 hosted by Parasport Ontario. Parasport Ontario is an inclusive non profit organization providing support to all members of the disability community in adaptive sport and recreation programs.

Niagara Falls Rotary Donation, May 2018

We would like to extend a huge thank you to Niagara Falls Rotary for their recent donation of $2000.00 toward our Inclusive Summer Day Camp Programming! Thanks to you, we will be even better equipped with all the necessities of an inclusive day camp program including craft supplies, sensory items and more! We really appreciate your donation. And we are certain our campers will too!
